Yes, I do still exist. Again. The next update has spiraled mildly out of control from two side scenes to, well, two side scenes but one of which has a 2000+ word lead in (as previously mentioned), and somehow split itself into two possible sex scenes until the one I had planned for (go feature bloat?), but you'll be getting it within the next week. I swear to god. (Not sure who I'm mad at there. Either me or my story for thinking more content was a natural growth of what I was working on =P)
But, to give you people something to talk about (other than "Hey Mel, what the heck haven't you updated you lazy *BLEEEEEEP*"), in an update within a few of this, probably before the new zone is complete, I'm hoping to implement that stat screen. It's my intention that the stats largely be "in character" information, you know, your "arousal" being tracked as "You feel calm" "You feel turned on" "You feel like you need to fuck someone as soon as possible before you go fucking mad." (Pun probably intended) However, I was considering for these early alpha testing stages just letting you see the numbers straight if you want (especially since some scenes require things like very high or very low corruption to see for this early in the game, and there are like, two rather specific routes through the prologue that will get you a high enough, or zero in the case of one scene, corruption so you can hunt for them, though obviously the extremes will be pretty easy to detect in the 'in character' version).
So, the question is, "flavor" scales, or flat numbers, like you get at the end of your run currently?

Whistle while you wait
Okay, just about done with said over extended farm scene, and, as I said, I originally intended to have 2 random encounters up with the, er, encounter mini-update that was coming, and while I have some general ideas what I was going to do with the second, since everyone who chose to vote wanted to wait patiently, let me award your patience with, uhm, something!
Toss me some suggestions on what you would like to see as a random encounter, and it might be in the next release! And even if it isn't, it might be added to the game regardless, so hit me with your best shot.

Delays delays delays
"Jeez, Melphy, it's been a lot more than one or two days. What have yooooou been doing?"
I'll admit, haven't been able to focus on this as much as I'd like, there was a big Halloween party over here and even though I wasn't really a participant, I was expected to help get the house ready so... Yay.
But honestly a lot of the delay is due to my terrible terrible writing habits. What sort of writing habits?
Well, for example, one of the random encounters is a simple sort of stop over at a farm house (and maybe a little roll in the hay with the farmer's daughter if you're so inclined. It's a bit stereotypical, but it's a minor event), and that seems short and simple right? Hah! Oh no, that's underestimating my habits. Just getting into the building is over a thousand words, and I suspect the entire scene will easily hit 4000 all told. And how much is 4000 in the scheme of things really? It means that, assuming I release as soon as the scene is done, the singular farm scene will amount to 10% of the type written content (including code).
And since I've been working on Zone 2 as well, the random event update is taking a bit longer than expected. With that in mind, do people want to wait until I have two events all done like I planned, or would you rather see the one as opposed to waiting? Post your opinion in any of my threads or here and, well, it'll adjust what I release.
