Status Update Mk. 1

Heyo everybody!  I fear Alpha 2 isn't actually ready yet, but it's well on its way.  Part of that is because, though I initially planned on releasing everything that could be done at the farmhouse at once, one side scene, and one major resolution part are going to be absent from the first release because there's some interactions with larger structures the game is going to use that, though I'm ready to work on now, are just a ton of coding work and you guys have been waiting for this for long enough already.  Since the next section is going to be a lot less work, and as such generally a smaller update by comparison, I figure I'll do a bunch of the back filling in that one, since much like the path leading up to the farm, it's mostly just a connector piece with one or two possible scenes in it.

Also I'd like to give a shout out to my first donator!  You know who you are, and you're automatically awesome in my book.  However, as Paypal you know, gave me your real name and such, I'm not sure if that's something you want me making public, if you have a handle or something you'd like put up on the site contact me and I'll let everyone know how cool you are.

Also also, for anyone who cares, I was doing one of my backups of Ghost Princess (I keep an all text backup, let's me easily spell check, etc...  Though as some of you know that doesn't always pan out), and the actual straight text of Ghost Princess is up to about 40 pages! 60 if you include coding lines, which I... Sort of don't.  (For those keeping track/score that's about 40 pages of size 11 Arial with line break'd rather than indented paragraphs with break line inserts to keep passages separated with some code sprinkled in so that's probably a slightly deceptive number, but still!)

Anyway, I hope to get Alpha 2 out soon, but for those eagerly awaiting it READ STATUS UPDATE. (It's directly above if you missed it)

Melphy out!

Cheating, for winners!

Heyo all, Alpha 2 is still in the works, but because of the longer time period on this release I've decided to toss something out early. What, you might ask? Why this:

 http://www.mediafire.com/download/f2wgu8j3kf9wkp8/GhostPrincess_Prologue.zip

A helpful little walkthrough of how to get various scenes and so on in the Prologue as put together by Iume of TF Games Site.

So long as they keep being put together, I'll be posting them up here either one release behind (IE: The Farm walkthrough will come out when the leaving the farm stuff is done) or if there's just a long time between releases, so you can go and see what all you haven't seen (If there's anything, anyways).

Also, by popular request (And by popular I mean one guy asked), Anonymous commenting is now enabled so if you don't have a G+/blogger/whatever account (Or you just don't want your name on an adult game site tarnishing your internet reputation), you can now comment freely! Whooo.

A Dreadful Lack of Content

It has been brought to my attention that I haven't posted here in a while.  Sorry about that, I was largely hoping to save posts for updates, but this most recent one is, well...  Taking quite a bit of time.  So, to get a few things out of the way, first: I'm not dead.  Second: I'm still working on this.  Third: Have a content snippet!

You looked back towards him, a nervous smile on your face as you consider the life worn man.  Not too old, but certainly not young anymore, his dark eyes almost black without the sun reflecting off them.

"Well?"  He said, eyeing you uncertainly, his eyes lingering encouragingly on your cleavage.

"Ah, well, you see," you said, taking a step close to him.  Then another, invading his personal space with a surprising ease, pushing your breasts against his chest, seeing his eyes go wide as you...

Leaned in to kiss him

Slid your hand down between the the two of you.

Just in case you're concerned I'm not actually working =P

... Oh GOD that was horrible...

So I got around to bugfixing 1.11 properly.  That was freaking humiliating, realizing that the menu that took most of the work to get functioning, the one that made that update almost late, wouldn't even show up because of a bug.  Of course, no one would be able to NOTICE it, and so obviously would never have told me about it.  Yeah.  So, uhm.  1.11?  GONE, not even set as the "previous version."  If you have 1.11?  TRASH IT.  IT IS AN ABOMINATION.

V Alpha 1.15 is MUCH better!  You actually can do the things it says you can do (If you have any idea what I'm talking about, go to the Status page in 1.15 after you're told you now have the ability to do things!)  If you don't, you'd better look around some more, maybe try some options in a different order or something).  I cleaned up a number of glaring errors in the new timer settings too, and I THINK all of the errors on the status page (There were like three, but two of them were hiding behind the other one). Ugh.  Anyways.  A1.11 doesn't exist.  A1.15 is life.

WARNING! This alpha could be INSANELY BUGGY!

Sorry this is later than I expected!  It turned out some of the menus I wanted to make potentially accessible took a lot of work to put together.  So much work, in fact, I've only managed to bug test, er... Well a lot less of this than I was hoping.  Still, rather give you guys something to look at than nothing at all. All the old bugs are fixed in version 1.11, but with even the small amount of added content, I bet there's plenty of NEW ones.  If you want a bug free experience, I recommend waiting for the next proper version to come out, but people who are willing to brave this TERRIBLE DANGER can check out the new version on the downloads page.

FAQ Update

There will, hopefully, be another version out tonight or tomorrow at the latest.  It should add a few scenes when you arrive at the field (though it won't actually let you progress the storyline proper), though not enough for me to consider it a major update.  I'm mostly putting it out because apparently in the first bug fix, I missed a rather major and obvious one in the prologue, so I want to get the next version out as quickly as possible.

Also, someone actually asked a question, the answer to which I considered of general interest, so I put that on the FAQ page, detailing some of the general arc for Ghost Princess if you're interested in what possibilities the future might hold.

Update? What update?

A minor update, correcting the first sweep of awkward phrasing, grammatical issues, and two glaring errors in the coding is now up on the downloads page!  Check it!

With special thanks to Malkira of House Eros and Sweet Little Sister of TFGames Site for their editorial work helping me find errors, repeated words, missing words, and just general grammatical messes, and also a thank you to everyone who checked out some of the less straightforward paths through the prologue and caught the misnamed variable error.  I do appreciate it.

No new content, but if you want to read through with less error and cleaner sentences, check version A1.1

My Blog Is Open!

Since I now have something worth actually putting on it, I've assembled my little blog here as a centralized locale for people interested in whatever I'm up to (as I'm arrogant enough to assume that such exist!).  As such, for the moment, this is serving as the go to place for updates on my current Twine game project: Ghost Princess. It's about a living prince! (With apologies to Doug Walker).

It's just barely in it's alpha state now (with nothing more than the prologue to go through, though you can check your character's status when you finally get out into the world), but as I do little updates and bug/grammar fixes and so on, I'll update here, so if you're interested in the slightest, keep your eyes on this space.

Game is up on the Ghost Princess page!
