Patreon stuff updated

Hey hey, just stopping by to say the Patron forum is done and up and all the little auxiliary things related to that are taken care of, so the next actual update should be forthcoming.  Yeah, that's about all I got.  Super exciting.  Whoo.

Good news! Bad news! (Actually flippin' amazing news)

Well I have good news and bad news.  The good news is, I got a serious Patreon donor, like...  Higher than my actual upper limit for rewards serious. My mind boggles, and I seriously can't give an appropriate level of thanks in any way that would either: A) Make any sense, and B) sound like pandering nonsense.

You know who you are, if you want some pandering nonsense I'm sure I can deliver.

What's the bad news, then?  Ahhh, so glad you asked.  I mean, admittedly, it's not super bad news, it's just...  That means the rest of you are going to be seeing updates a bit more slowly.  The next one because I'm going to have to put together all of the tools and such that will actually permit me to make good on my Patreon promises, and also because you guys are going to start being one update behind.  Standard Patreon benefit and all that.  I won't spring that on you guys all at once, seems obnoxious.  Probably going to go the next one up when it's done, the one after that delayed like 2 days, the one after that delayed 5, etc. until the gap is up to what I've promised on my Patreon page.  Don't want to dump you guys totally in the lurch, but, you know, gotta live up to my promises, eh?

So, yeah, I think this is pretty awesome.  And I extend my apologies to any of you who will be overly inconvenienced (...  Though aaaactually, if you don't like being so inconvenienced, you can get around that.  You know.  If you want. =P)

Status Update

Not a ton to say here, just want to note that I've moved into a new place and as of like...  Yesterday I have internet again.  So, back to work for me.  And at least in part back to looking for a "real job."  Boo hiss.

Anyways, now that I re-re-exist I should be around to do updates w/e a little more reliably.  So hopefully that's good.

Back in Action. Right Proper.

So, I feel like not alll that long ago I said something like "Hey, Pleasures of the Knight update today or tomorrow."

Well, depending on your timezone, it is, in fact, today or tomorrow (compared to when that post went up.  Obviously it is currently "today" regardless.  Technicalities!).

So, yeah, end part of the Frigg update (I think).  Got the 2 missing Frigg sex scenes during travel done, it's about 5400 words spread across 12 passages, give or take a bit, (which puts this entire project, if you include code, to like 66,000 words, which...  Hoo boy, didn't think I'd be filling up that much digital paper before I even got into the 2nd zone proper, eh?)

Anyways, there is still, I believe, one major Frigg travel scene missing (what happens if you haven't had sex with her yet), but that one is...  Uhm...  Probably going to be 12+ passages all on its own, sooooo....  Yeah I feel like that can wait.

As ever, I'm kicking this out the door almost the instant it's done, so be prepared for tense inconsistency, and...  Posssibly bugs?  Shouldn't be any, hardly did any coding for this one, but who knows!  As ever, if you notice anything problematic, tell me and it'll get fixed right up in a jiffy.  Granted, no clue what the interior of a jiffy looks like, but, eh, probably overthinking it.

Oh, and much like with the previous post, people attending here are going to get this early compared to other people!...

Because I'm really tired right now and heading to bed so all the usual forum threads aren't going to be updated until tomorrow.  Uh.  Woo.

Just a short little post, though there will hopefully be a more exciting one later today/tomorrow,  I have to say I really both appreciate and am surprised by the number of comments I've received over the last few days.  It's pretty cool that people are still checking my weblog after all this time, and that some of you...  I don't know, care enough to comment, say something, anything, even just hi.

Gotta insert something saccharine here...  Mnnh...  You guys are all awesome and I hope I can create content worthy of the devotion you guys have shown.  Seriously, I think it's cool you're all still here.

Okay, quick update: You know how I said I was running out of money?  Yeah, so that's a thing, so I got to move home for a bit!  Yaaaaayyy e_e.

Now, that wouldn't've been a big deal (other than having to be careful about people reading over my shoulder) except my parents were also moving shortly so basically all of my possessions stayed in packing boxes and there wasn't any internet for a while because of something about bill timing or whatever.

And then I got settled in at like...  My parent's small vacation home thing?  But that was hardly set up for a lot of long term habitation so, see net and services on the fritz for a bit (though my mom had quite enough of that while the new place they're moving into gets sorted.

Of course, I'm still living out of boxes because I may be moving back into my own place (well, a different my own place) within a month or so (ARGH LIFE TORNADO WHYYY!?).  So that's...  Mostly good.

And you may say "Hey, if you've been online some, why didn't you call?" (because you're now a stereotypical mother, not sure how that happened), and the simple fact of the matter was, being so behind with stuff I'll admit I was a little embarrassed to show my face.  On my own weblog. I may have issues.

However, I didn't completely abandon writing in the mean time...  I diiiiid end up having to kind of sort of abandon working on my already existing projects because all of my writing/archives for them are online, so if online isn't be co-operative I run the risk of either suddenly losing my ability to edit things, flat out not being able to get what I was working on last, or, and this is the main reason: Finding out what I archived didn't actually archive because while my computer thought it worked I wasn't actually online at the time so it didn't make it to the "cloud" or whatever we care to call it these days.

So, do I have any writing worth showing you, you don't ask, but I'm going to pretend you asked.  The answer to that question I just shoved in your mouth is, actually...  Yes, sort of.

You can click RIGHT HERE to read through the prologue of something I was just randomly working on (everything else is story fragments for the book[s] I'm totally going to write one of these days.  Definitely.), and who knows, if people really like it maybe it'll get less randomly and more actively worked on.

Also this is a very special update just for you people who are, for some insane reason, still checking this site.  Go you!  Everyone else gets to wait until I do the last passage or two on the PotK update and hit up the usual forum suspects to discover that I'm alive.

As such this update is for strictly my own self esteem and naught else because who the heck would still be checking this after almost half a year?

Calling in sick... And stunningly more awesome news

Bad news first: It turns out "I've gotten over my recent illness" is actually code word for "OH GOD THAT WAS JUST THE CALM BEFORE THE STORM."  Not giving you any details (TMI abounds!), but I have been uncomfortably unwell, to say the least.  There has been a non-zero quantity of progress, but I've gone from being able to hammer out like 2k+ words a day to maybe a 400-500 word passage if I try really hard.  There may be a doctor's visit in my immediate future e_e

Stunning news: One of you, out there, somewhere, was apparently threatened enough by that baleful glowing red eye over on the right to actually visit my Patreon page.  Honestly, other than the glaring eye, I wasn't really going to emphasize it or draw attention to it until I had gotten some decent work done on the 2nd section.  It was my original plan not to put it up until that was done, but someone observed to me that spending months with no "support option" as it were was really stupid with my lack of any other source of income.  So I just kinda stuck it there.

And holy hell, someone actually though this was good enough to support.  That has got to be the best thing that's happened to me all year! (See, it's mid January so that's funny.  Laugh dammit).  I'm honestly not sure what to say about it.  I'm incredibly thankful, but trying to properly express that sort of thing seems like empty platitudes far too easily.  I just have to say, there are some of you out there who do give me feedback at times (and I do appreciate it, critical and positive, helps me improve the work), but it's usually pretty quiet around here, so I'm never sure what that means (not that I'm blaming anyone or anything, just comes with the territory I think), but this is a vote of confidence that means a lot to me.
