Calling in sick... And stunningly more awesome news

Bad news first: It turns out "I've gotten over my recent illness" is actually code word for "OH GOD THAT WAS JUST THE CALM BEFORE THE STORM."  Not giving you any details (TMI abounds!), but I have been uncomfortably unwell, to say the least.  There has been a non-zero quantity of progress, but I've gone from being able to hammer out like 2k+ words a day to maybe a 400-500 word passage if I try really hard.  There may be a doctor's visit in my immediate future e_e

Stunning news: One of you, out there, somewhere, was apparently threatened enough by that baleful glowing red eye over on the right to actually visit my Patreon page.  Honestly, other than the glaring eye, I wasn't really going to emphasize it or draw attention to it until I had gotten some decent work done on the 2nd section.  It was my original plan not to put it up until that was done, but someone observed to me that spending months with no "support option" as it were was really stupid with my lack of any other source of income.  So I just kinda stuck it there.

And holy hell, someone actually though this was good enough to support.  That has got to be the best thing that's happened to me all year! (See, it's mid January so that's funny.  Laugh dammit).  I'm honestly not sure what to say about it.  I'm incredibly thankful, but trying to properly express that sort of thing seems like empty platitudes far too easily.  I just have to say, there are some of you out there who do give me feedback at times (and I do appreciate it, critical and positive, helps me improve the work), but it's usually pretty quiet around here, so I'm never sure what that means (not that I'm blaming anyone or anything, just comes with the territory I think), but this is a vote of confidence that means a lot to me.

So, you know who you are, and thank you.

Yay! Delay.

Okay, this update is (obviously) taking longer than expected.  I think the middle part (since I'm splitting it ooone more time) should be up tomorrow, with the submissive and neutral Frigg travel scenes up.  The "not sex yet" scene is bigger than I expected so it's taking a bit longer (so I swapped over to the Neutral scene since I know that should be shorter).

Now, there's another...  Thing that I feel I (we?  Whatever) should have a bit of a discussion about.  See, every once in a while people express an interest in seeing a certain haunting project worked on.  Generally speaking it's been my overall intention to finish Pleasure and then work on Ghost Princess, but, you know, Pleasures is maybe a bit under a quarter done (optimistically), so Ghost Princess wouldn't be seeing the light of day for a long time (possibly a really long time if my current work schedule gets interrupted).  Now, I've said I'm going to work on Pleasures until it's done, and that's exactly what I intend to do, but.  Buuuuttt...

A lot of the reason Ghost Princess was going to be worked on after Pleasures is because I wanted to get a good feel for seriously working on a project, but one with less heavy technical stuff to drag down the narrative (Ghost Princess is amazingly messy under the hood).  And in a lot of ways it's succeeded.  I have a reasonably good idea of how to handle Ghost Princess when I get around to it.

And the reason any of this is relevant is because I'm considering, if people would really like to see it, working on both at once.  This'll have some consequences.  Obviously Pleasures will be updated quite a bit more slowly, and there will be less updates in general, I suspect, as splitting my attention will be less efficient (90% sure, maybe updates will proceed at the same pace but I wouldn't bet on it).  But on the other hand, people would get their long yearned for Ghost Princess updates.  I'll be holding the conversation about this through the end of the Frigg update (at the very least), with some more overall design details brought up in the next update post (since people're more likely to read that one), for people who would care to be able to compare and contrast the projects from the "gameplay" side before making a call.

Anywho, that's the way of things, post your opinions wherever I can find 'em.

Frigg Update Status Update

Okay, well, opinion time is basically over, there's been one individual who very much was hoping to see a chance to romance Frigg, but even they were saying not to worry about it when it comes to current progress, maybe back add it later if I wanted to, soo, basically, since most people aren't too worried about it, current ideas of implementation are seen as non-ideal, and even people who want it don't seem too fussed about seeing it any time soon...  Hey look, less work for me! Whoo!  Heh.

Anyways, I think I may be able to finish the Frigg update entirely by the end of the week with any luck, basically filling in the 3 "You have an interaction with Frigg" autofire scenes that everyone who has taken her along has been having as placeholders (except for people with a bit more control over the relationship, that one's already done, though I'll admit, even for me, actually pretty tricky to find >_>  I'm comfortable with that though, I mean, you've been a male for maybe an hour, getting the upper hand on her immediately isn't terribly likely or easy).

Should be reasonably simple.  The submissive path will be a straight shot just like the dominant path, the middling path will probably have an ending fork, so I'm guessing between the two that's like 9-10 passages, 4000-5000 words or whatever, and I imagine the "no sex yet" path is going to be a bit more intricate since she'll actually be trying to seduce you and stuff meaning that there'll need to be variations for willing/successfully seduced/resisting being seduced, which'll probably mean it takes about the same itself, so, you know, should be a decent sized update (and I got some of that work done already, whooo), so enjoy!...

Er rather, I hope you enjoy when it's done.  Can't exactly enjoy what I haven't written/released yet.  Hope you're enjoying yourselves with what has been regardless thought ^_^

Melphy out!

Stealth Fix

There was a slight error I missed in a part of one of the new scenes, missing one word from the code, shoved it back in place, uploaded it over 2.5.0, and so if you're seeing a missing macro error, just re-download and it'll vanish.

Uh, because it totally never existed.  Ever.  Where did you get that flawed version of 2.5.0?  Not here.  Definitely not.  Deeefinately.

Also, been reading what comments people have given for the Frigg question.  I was figuring the RNG method was a lousy idea, once I really thought about it, and it seems the public agrees.  On the by and large it seems that people (who are saying something anyways) are mostly apathetic towards the inclusion, or against it, so I'll give it a few more days and see if there are any other stances or voices that emerge and explain what I plan to do in that regard.  At present, looks like probably nothing.  Not that I'm going to complain about that.
